Back with Flare

Literally and figuratively. Ha. Anyhow… let’s just say I was skeptical of pulling off this trendy flare thing. First of all, I’m short. Second of all, just not sure. Flares are typically made for people who must be 7 feet 2 inches tall because most of the ones I’ve tried on are just ridiculously long. My favourite sales person at Free People assured me that I could pull it off and that she had a pair that would work. These are made with a raw hem so that you can cut them to any length. I tried them on with the highest heel I figured I would ever wear with them and cut them to fit those. Past that, let ‘em drag on the ground and fray a little more. What do you think? Did I pull it off?

Casual Transition

Is it true? Is fall really around the corner? Am I the only one looking forward to rich hues and cozy wraps? I certainly hope not. While I wish it was actually a cool enough evening to need this wrap it so wasn’t. I still have a hard time posting “normal” casual outfits. Real people wear tanks and jeans though so why not? My latest saga? Fibromyalgia. I’m in pain and there’s no way I can even think about a heel or a wedge or anything of the sort right now. If you have to wear flats they may as well be Gucci right? The drivers are so comfortable and soft. Highly recommend!

Just Jeans and a Tank

Just Jeans and a Tank

That “blogworthy” word came up when we were going out to take pictures today. My favourite stylist at the Free People store liked it and told me to definitely blog this one so here it is! The tank is, of course, Free People and the jeans are old distressed boyfriend jeans that seemed to stand the test of time. So simple yet put together. Pairings can turn jeans and a tank into an outfit. The fancy racerback bralette that shows in the back, a belt, animal print Betula sandals and jewellery which is always key to adding interest to simplicity.

Oops I Did It Again!

Oops I Did It Again!

OK. This is getting ridiculous. I sound like a broken record. Today’s #OOTD is from none other than… Free People! Sorry. I really have to stop. Their clothes are just so cool, and comfy, and well made. Can’t help it! I am the queen of the “flowy” top and they make so many awesome ones, not to mention their perfect distressed denim. White jeans in the summer just give such a fresh look to an outfit but the distressing on these makes them more fun and not so buttoned up or nurse like. Confession — I have them in three colours.
