One year ago today I did my first WordPress blog post! I wasn’t sure what would come of all this, but if nothing else, it’s something I really enjoy and hope you do too. I want to thank all of you for reading and hanging out with me and my outfits. I’ve learned so much from reading other fabulous blogs and think I’ve grown as a blogger. I’ve made blogger friends from all across the world, even if I haven’t actually met them, though I hope to one day. This year has presented me with quite a few challenges, but here I am blogging away! Thank you all!

Dressed for a special dinner in honour of anniversaries in a nice restaurant located in an old Victorian house at the shore. Black Helmut Lang jeans, black and Parker sleeveless, open back top — both from Neiman Marcus. My jacket is from J Crew a while ago. All In the Details

I found this amazing top in my new favourite place to shop… the Nordstrom Savvy Department of course! I got so many complements on it last night! The detail of the design on the front is the first eye-catching piece, and then you get to see the back which has adorable pleats to add even more interest. I paired it with black jeans figuring a coloured pair would detract from the design, chunky heeled sandals, and some cool but not overpowering jewellery.

We went to dinner at a cool hip restaurant not far from us and while checking in on Facebook I realized that my friends’ band was playing right down the road. The timing was perfect so we went to check it out. They’re a surf band from New Jersey and they’re so much fun. HOT Pink

This top has a serious neon pink pop! Love it. Naturally it’s from the Nordstrom Savvy Department. Ever since they changed over to a trendy, yet reasonable department I’m completely addicted! I figured that with such a bright top I should keep everything else simple, hence the black for the rest. I had a super busy day today so flats were required. After trying every ballet flat on the market I decided that absolutely none were as comfortable as these Prada ones. These were my first pair, but believe me, I purchased more!

Always Wear Your Helmut

Another evening just waiting for the thunderstorms to start. Of course just as we walked outside to shoot the rain started. Figures! We were on our way out to one of our favourite French bistros in the area. It reminds me of the kind of places usually eat in when we’re in the South of France. I so love it there! Wearing all Helmut Lang was probably a little excessive but I was just in the mood!
