Cheap Trick

Sometimes it’s just too hot to wear clothes. Let the hibernation begin. See ya in October! OK. So I have to leave the house at some point but what to wear? Little dresses that don’t touch me. Being that I’m not a fan of summer heat, in case you couldn’t tell, I’m not into spending tons of money on my hot weather wardrobe. This dress is from Forever 21 and though I don’t shop there often, sometimes for an easy summer number it works. The trick to shopping at inexpensive places like that? No brights or pastels. Black and white and some other dark colours will always look more expensive. Pairing your budget friendly outfit with a nice pair of shoes, some cool jewellery and an awesome pair of sunglasses will elevate the look and make you feel like a million bucks. Give it a shot!

The Best $25 I’ve Ever Spent

The Best $25 I’ve Ever Spent

Ever buy one of those items that just proves to be awesome even if you didn’t spend a lot of money on it? Every time I wear this dress I get so many compliments! It’s crazy. I found this dress at Forever 21 and though I don’t buy a lot there, I couldn’t resist. I fell in love with the shape. It’s like someone turned a huge scarf into a dress. It’s light and flowy and perfect for those hot summer days. Those of you who have been following me for a while know that I’m not such a fan of summer months and therefore don’t spend so much money on my spring and summer wardrobe. I really don’t like to be hot so lightweight, breezy clothing is essential in my book. A maxi is such a great way to keep cool and still look chic. I paired the dress with flat metallic sandals by Kate Spade and sparkly jewellery making it appropriate to wear out for supper. Enjoy!

The Recital

This past weekend was all about my niece. She not only graduated from nursery school, but had her dance recital as well. So cute and she did such a great job! This is actually the first time I’ve had a chance to sit down with my new computer and work on my blog! I’m loving my new laptop and I’m so happy to get back into the swing of things.

I’m really loving black and gold right now. It’s trendy, classy and funky all at the same time.

Suddenly Summer

So hot today! Not a fan in general, but it’s time for a breezy dress. I also couldn’t wait to sport my new sunglasses from Italia Independent. They’re black, flocked velvet with gold studs! So cool!
