Sometimes simplicity is the way to go. I have a hard time not adding that quintessential 3rd piece so a wrap or scarf just adds completion and finesse. These vegan leather leggings were on such sale that they almost paid me to take them out of the store. They’re Blank NYC and started out relatively expensive. There’s nothing like getting that amazing deal on an item of clothing you know you’ll wear over and over and over. Go me! I paired them with a simple long sleeved tee but I’m sure I’ll wear them with fancier tops as well. It’s all about versatility! Tip – when your pants and boots are the same colour it elongates your legs!

This past Sunday was reserved for a special event at work. You get to see me in action. This is what I do — where I do my magic. I sell frames and make people look awesome! (Or at least I try!) Glasses are such an important accessory. Like jewellery for your face. We hope the first thing people notice is our face so let’s make it look good! You can have so much fun playing with colours and shapes that complement you and when it comes to sunglasses — sky’s the limit! Happy Spring… Not!

So for this first day of spring we had a snow storm. Go figure. I wouldn’t have minded if I hadn’t had to go into New York for the day. What a mess! Oh well — the positive — I can still wear my favourite winter clothes. Oh how I’ll miss them.

I know people have a thing against Abercrombie & Fitch but they have some really nice pieces and the prices are so reasonable. I paired a soft classic white shirt with high waisted, faux leather leggings, booties and an oversized wrap. So simple, but so chic. I’ve always wanted to try the exposed black bra under a white shirt but never felt it appropriate. I finally decided that I didn’t care. Since my reconstruction post breast cancer I don’t actually need a bra for functional purposes so I’m obsessed with these little Calvin Klein bralettes. They look like a tank and they’re seamless and wireless so they don’t hurt.

Oh… one last thing. Can we talk about these Prada sunglasses? Fabulous doesn’t even begin to describe!

Fall For It

The second the temperature drops the tiniest little bit I get completely psyched for fall. I feel more like myself in dark colours and boots. I started out getting dressed this evening in much lighter coloured garb. I couldn’t do it. I kept looking in the mirror and wondering who was staring back at me. I’ve realized that you should stay true to who you are — doesn’t only apply to outfits. If you’re not comfortable in an outfit don’t wear it out. More importantly, don’t buy it. Only spend your money on pieces that call to you and make you feel awesome!
