Sunday Stars

So Sunday at work is jeans day. YAY!! I find it so much easier to get dressed when my beloved denim is involved. It’s fun to dress up and oh so nice to mix it up and not wear yet another pair of black pants. Making denim work appropriate isn’t always an easy task though. It definitely requires a nice top and shoes. No sweatshirts and sneakers with ripped jeans in the office. Right?

One of my favourite designers for shirts is Rails. The shirts are a little pricy but the quality and design are both great. They’re known for their plaids, but have some “fancier” options too. Nice shoes? Right up my alley. These are Prada found on sale at Saks and they’re so unbelievably comfortable. The platform gives me height but keeps my foot flat. Bonus! They also opened a new Saks Off 5th close to me where I found these jeans. Probably too close!

I have to mention this necklace and my current obsession with said necklace. Have you seen the show Schitt’s Creek? Hilarious! Watch! Alexis wears this sideways “A”. I found one on the Anthropologie website and the day I got a free shipping email I made it mine!

Enjoy!

Hi Fall!

Fall is my favourite. Brisk temperatures (hopefully), colourful leaves, and best of all amazing fashion on the way. There’s nothing better than a chunky sweater on a cool fall day layered over anything. We’re not there yet, but as soon as fall hits my colour palette changes back to black and jewel tones. Yeah! Statement jeans are a must these days and these called to me from a sale rack at Anthropologie. The blouse isn’t new (the horror) but it’s one of my favourites from the colours to the sleeves and it goes so perfectly with the Gucci drivers. Can’t wait for the thermometer to tell me to wear a pair of boots! Enjoy!

Boudoir

Pyjama dressing has become a thing of late and I’m kinda loving it. What could be better than being able to wear pjs out of the house? Styling something silky or fancy with ripped jeans has always appealed and it’s much more interesting than going all one way or the other. It was hot so I used the pyjama shirt as my jacket for the evening in case it got chilly. In the restaurant, however, it was cami all the way! Camisoles are so versatile. Wear them with a shrunken tee under if you want to be less revealing, on their own for a night out, or with a cardigan, blazer or shirt over for warmth or style. You can dress them up or down for day or night. Everyone should own one! Oh… I can’t stop wearing these shoes! I swear I own more than one pair!

Sea of Skulls

Sea of Skulls

I’m not sure why I like this trend. It’s actually kind of morbid! Maybe I’m just channeling McQueen? Somehow these dead heads have managed to become “cute” when they appear in pretty pastel colours. I mixed two patterns to create a flowing sea of skulls. Coated jeans are another obsession of mine. I don’t even care that it’s supposed to be spring. They’re just so cool!
