Anyone noticed how much I love kimonos? Or anything BOHO chic? When One Tribe Apparel sent me this kimono I was psyched! First of all, their story is great. Second of all — kimono! They also donate part of their proceeds to help the Elephant Nature Park. How cool is that? Besides all the above, the kimono is so pretty. The vibrant colours and peacock pattern on mine even dressed up jeans enough for me to wear them to work! I love peacocks! I would wear this over a bathing suit or to give a pop to a simple tee or slip dress too. I’m tellin’ ya, these things come in handy. Stop on over to One Tribe Apparel and check out all the amazing things they have besides kimonos too!

As of late I have become quite the sneaker girl. Love that the sporty trend is in because it is oh so comfortable! When Coolway asked me to try out some of their styles from their brands Coolway and Musse and Cloud I was really excited. Both brands have fabulous trendy styles including amazing must have spring booties, sandals and sneakers.
This is the first pair I’m going to share with you. These kicks are so incredibly comfortable. The canvas is breathable and the platform makes them so soft to walk around in all day. No breaking in here! Comfy from the get go! I paired them with a casual weekend outfit for a day of running around. I couldn’t resist sharing my smiling little Lubi happily out for a walk with me in my new shoes.
The best part? Not only are they reasonable but if you use code #glassesgrl on the Coolway site or Sole Identity site you can get 25% off your purchase!

I guess I just haven’t been in the mood lately. Haven’t been able to motivate myself. Sometimes it’s just too much pressure to get up every day and be “blogworthy”. It’s hard feeling like you can never repeat an outfit or feeling like you have to look great every single day. Of course you have to get up and put on something but sometimes you just look in the mirror and don’t feel it. Hence, #bloggerburnout. Alas, I miss all of you and I miss posting my outfits. It took a hiatus to realise this! Therefore I will be back at you with outfits galore. I hope! Since spring hasn’t actually sprung here in the northeast this outfit embraces some springier items while still being 50 degree farenheit temperature appropriate. Over-the-knee boots can still be springy if they’re the right material and colour and are worn with maybe something floral or light. First time embracing the “cold shoulder” look. You like?
(Similar – mine are so old!)
So the calendar says spring. The thermometer says otherwise. Until the two reach an agreement I’m sticking with my boots and sweaters. I’m one of the few people who actually doesn’t look forward to spring and warm weather. Boots, sweaters, faux fur coats, scarves, layers — these are a few of my favourite things. Sorry everyone but I’m holding out as long as I can. I added the smallest touch of the new season with this amazing flower necklace my mum and dad brought back from France. Otherwise, in true Northeast spirit I’m in all black. All black doesn’t have to be boring if you mix up textures and prints as I did here with knits, lace and leather. The slightly edgier over-the-knee boots with my otherwise boho outfit added a little twist. Enjoy!
Yup. Purple velvet. It’s so soft! We all know that I’m the queen of the sale. When I saw the blazer and the boots both reduced with an extra 40% off they simply had to become mine. No questions. I had been coveting these on the Free People site since the beginning of the season and I waited and waited until I got such an amazing deal I couldn’t possibly pass it up. Embracing the velvet trend and the fringe trend and the over-the-knee boot trend in one outfit? Decadent!

Literally and figuratively. Ha. Anyhow… let’s just say I was skeptical of pulling off this trendy flare thing. First of all, I’m short. Second of all, just not sure. Flares are typically made for people who must be 7 feet 2 inches tall because most of the ones I’ve tried on are just ridiculously long. My favourite sales person at Free People assured me that I could pull it off and that she had a pair that would work. These are made with a raw hem so that you can cut them to any length. I tried them on with the highest heel I figured I would ever wear with them and cut them to fit those. Past that, let ‘em drag on the ground and fray a little more. What do you think? Did I pull it off?
