Blanket Statement

Blanket Statement

You’ve all seen the hype around wearing blanket wraps. The monogrammed Burberry one in particular was super popular this season. On a less expensive note, however, there are so many options available that still look super cool and keep you nice and toasty. I found this one at the Zara sale. It’s so soft. I’ve thrown it over everything from jeans to a skirt and top. It’s also an amazing option when you want to be warm, but don’t want to lug a coat around.

Il Mantello

Il Mantello – Italian for a cloak, mantle, coat, casing, blanket, wrap. I remember asking my mum years ago to bring one back from Italy. She had one and I loved it and she always referred to it as a mantello. After all, mantello sounds much classier than blanket right? I’m so glad they’re all the rage this season. I was eagerly awaiting cool temperatures to whip it out. The rest of my outfit was inspired by a story on WHOWHATWEAR.COM called The It-Girl Secret to Looking Taller & Leaner. How did I do? I honestly don’t care about being short. Not a big deal to me. I do love a good layering technique though! This is also great way to wear a cropped top or sweater without bearing skin.
