Shorts or Pants?

I believe I’ve mentioned previously that I’m really not a shorts person. I own a couple pair but hardly ever wear them. It’s so hot here though! When I found these…. ports (can’t decide if they’re pants or shorts) I was in love. Shorts with an eyelet overlay to turn them into pants. Perfection! They’re even breezier than a skirt and you can’t really tell that I have absolutely no tan whatsoever. I wore shorts the other night and was ridiculed by my nephew for my ghostly gams. Geez! Working girl problems!

Sometimes you just end up in the right place at the right time. Wandering through Bloomingdale’s this past weekend I ran into the most charming young lady doing a trunk show with her amazing jewellery called Midori Line. Her specialty? Hand chains. Before last weekend I didn’t even know what that was, but I’m hooked! It’s a bracelet that gracefully extends from your wrist, down your hand and loops around your finger. It’s amazingly comfortable and really allows you to show off the details. I couldn’t wait to go home and style it with my outfit for the evening. This could be a perfect accessory for the upcoming festival season too. I can’t wait to connect with Sakura and explore more of her creations!

Happy Blogiversary!

One year ago today I did my first WordPress blog post! I wasn’t sure what would come of all this, but if nothing else, it’s something I really enjoy and hope you do too. I want to thank all of you for reading and hanging out with me and my outfits. I’ve learned so much from reading other fabulous blogs and think I’ve grown as a blogger. I’ve made blogger friends from all across the world, even if I haven’t actually met them, though I hope to one day. This year has presented me with quite a few challenges, but here I am blogging away! Thank you all!

Here’s that very first post. Enjoy!

Dressed for a special dinner in honour of anniversaries in a nice restaurant located in an old Victorian house at the shore. Black Helmut Lang jeans, black and Parker sleeveless, open back top — both from Neiman Marcus. My jacket is from J Crew a while ago. See by Chloe sandals and Marc by Marc Jacobs bag both from Bloomingdales. Cheers!

Me in Monochrome

Yet again, black and white. At least the rain stopped for long enough to pop out and take some pictures! And the sun peeked out just long enough to wear these amazing sunglasses. So French no?

I’m so excited for fall. I’m getting out the booties and incorporating them whenever I can. This is a new Dolce Vita pair with nice silver accents on the toe and heel. At a first glance this is a cool pair of animal print coated jeans. Guess what? Flip them inside out and they’re coated black jeans. Great for travelling! Bluelab does a whole line of reversible jeans. Check them out! BTW… I can’t wait to get my bangs trimmed!
