Tunic Versatility

Every once in a blue moon we get a nice cool summer evening. Enter the tunic. Offering versatility in seasonal and styling options it’s a must have in my closet. For summer, I chose to wear it with white distressed jeans and slip on loafers for a laid back, chic vibe. I can see it working for fall with perhaps leggings and an awesome pair of boots. (BTW can’t wait for fall!) Oh.. Don’t forget your accessories! Really. They can make an outfit. That age-old rule of taking off one piece before you leave the house. Forget it! An amazing pair of sunglasses will complete the look. Essential!

Just Jeans and a Tank

Just Jeans and a Tank

That “blogworthy” word came up when we were going out to take pictures today. My favourite stylist at the Free People store liked it and told me to definitely blog this one so here it is! The tank is, of course, Free People and the jeans are old distressed boyfriend jeans that seemed to stand the test of time. So simple yet put together. Pairings can turn jeans and a tank into an outfit. The fancy racerback bralette that shows in the back, a belt, animal print Betula sandals and jewellery which is always key to adding interest to simplicity.

Sunset in the Secret Garden

There’s a special little place in the front of mum and dad’s house that mum calls the secret garden. She read the book to me when I was young. We had some time before supper to take pictures as the sun was setting and figured it was the perfect place. I couldn’t resist this cute egg hatching a baby dinosaur — too whimsical!

I found this cobalt blue top and immediately thought about wearing it with my Jimmy Choo sandals. I don’t get to wear them that often and even though we weren’t going anywhere fancy I decided to go for it. I figured wearing them with distressed jeans would dress them down a little. I love mixing fancy things with distressed jeans or something really casual. It just makes them that much cooler.
