Free People Event at Bloomingdale’s

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I received an invite to the “Fall For Free People” event at Bloomingdale’s in Bridgewater this past weekend. Free People and Bloomingdale’s — these are a few of my favourite things! It was also a Fashionable Fundraiser which was in support of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research. Shopping for a good cause is always a good thing and Bloomingdale’s pledges to make a donation of $75,000 to amfAR as part of the event. There was so much going on from refreshments, to a sketch artist who was drawing amazing fashion sketches of the shoppers and of course I was assisted by my favourite Bloomingdale’s stylist ever. He’s amazing and is always there as my partner in shopping crime! It was so much fun to meet all the great people from Bloomingdale’s and have the opportunity to blog the event. Coincidentally this past Sunday was three years from when I had my mastectomy (hence the pink outfit) so being able to be there and have fun was awesome. Even Lubi got in on the action! Thanks Bloomies!

The Meeting – A Film By My Cousin

One of the most important topics for young people and parents today within our communities are mental health in our youth and the role of our educators.

We want to spark an intelligent conversation that goes beyond the horrors of the headlines with a compassionate dramatic short film.
